UPCOMING SOLO EXHIBITION-
I am excited to announce that I am currently hard at work on my first solo exhibition to be held in Ballarat.
It has been a big step for me to commit to this exhibition because putting myself out there socially has never been something that has come easily to me. This year however, is about healing my inner child and doing hard things!
TITLE- FASHION & FEELINGS
My artworks are inspired by fashion & influenced by feelings,therefore it seemed appropriate to kick off my first solo exhibition with this in mind.
ABOUT-
This exhibition will explore the themes I keep coming back to which are- self expression, authenticity, identity, obsession, inspiration & reflection.
BODY OF WORK-
Centres around the artworks I have produced before and after my January 2026 diagnosis of Combined ADHD & Autism documenting my life long search to truly understand myself which has been evident in my art. The tug of war of wanting to be seen but equally wanting to hide away, of feeling like too much but also not enough. The areas I have focused on in life to understand myself in an effort to quieten the noise around me. It will pay homage to my love of fashion as a way to express myself as well as depict those I admire and aspire to be like.
MATERIALS-
There will be a cross section of mediums to show the multifaceted approach I take and the years involved in developing the works I have chosen to include in this solo. The majority will be mixed media using fabric, thread, paint and marker in various combinations and at times through collage & embroidery. Regardless of the choice of canvas, paper or textile base all works are unified in the use of unique details & the focus on maximalism.
